Please join us June 6, 2019
Social Hour: 11:00 AM
Luncheon: 12:00 Noon
What a treat…even though the Argyle is private club in Alamo Heights, we were able to book our luncheon here, and will be in the private room with a veranda that overlooks the property! The Argyle was originally built in 1854 as the headquarters of a horse ranch which extended from down-town San Antonio to the town of Boerne, some 30 miles distant, it was an outpost of Texas hospitality. Through a succession of owners, it epitomized the pleasant ways and good living of the storied South. It was purchased in 1884 by two Scotsmen, who added the third floor and opened a hotel, which they named Argyle because the rolling hills of the section reminded them of their native hills of Scotland. We hope to see you at this beautiful club in June!
Note: They will have valet parking, please try to carpool!
The Menu will be as follows…
To start: Cheese straws, melba toast, rolls, iced tea and coffee. There will be a cash bar available.
Entrée: A wonderful Gulf Coast Salad with Gulf shrimp and grilled snapper on a bed of mixed greens with bell pepper rings, roasted tomatoes, hard boiled eggs, English cucumber, pepperoncini and shaved red onion, finished with a balsamic vinaigrette. This is one of their most popular dishes!
