Guests are encouraged to bring their favorite wine (or other spirits are always welcome.) What’s more refreshing during San Antonio’s hot July weather than a cold glass of lemonade? Our hosts will have lemonade and other mixers to add to the spirit of your choice at the July 21 Wine/Spirits Tasting. They will also be serving a vodka mint lemonade to quench the toughest thirst! Newcomers are taking a road trip! We’re cruising California’s famed Highway 101 and exploring its many vineyards. Bring your favorite California wine to the June Wine/Spirits Tasting. On May 19, all of England will be celebrating when Prince Harry marries Meghan Markle. As Newcomers never like to miss a party, the May 19 Wine/Spirits Tasting will have a distinctly British flair! What could be more British than a Gin and Tonic or a pint of British ale? Bring your favorite gin, a British beer, or whatever wine or spirit you prefer. (See the newsletter for details.) Cheery-o!
The March Wine/Spirits Tasting is on the 17th, so of course, we’re celebrating St. Patrick’s Day! Guests are encouraged to embrace the Irish theme by wearing green and bringing their favorite Irish-themed beverage, like Jameson’s whiskey or Guinness beer. (Of course, other beverages are always welcome.) Bring an appetizer or dessert to share. Let the shenanigans begin!
We’re letting the “good times roll” and celebrating Mardi Gras in San Antonio! (New Orleans has nothing on us!) Guests are encouraged to bring French wines and wear Mardi Gras-themed masks at the February Wine/Spirits Tasting. Let’s celebrate the new year with Tiaras, Top Hats, and of course, Champagne! Our hosts invite you to don a tiara or top hat, while sipping your favorite bubbly.
