Our motto is “Bloom where you are planted.”
Newcomers of San Antonio is a 501(c)7 non-profit – social organization. It was started in 1981 to help new residents of San Antonio become familiar with the city and to meet people with similar interests.
Newcomers of San Antonio began as a small group of San Antonio transplants meeting for an occasional coffee that has grown into a large social network of individuals helping each other to make a new home and develop a new social life in South Central Texas.
Newcomers of San Antonio now has over 265 members and over 30 special interest groups. We want to extend a very gracious thank you to Robbie Boone, Pat Hermes, Lois McMaken, Jan Pope and Elaine Van Buren (the founding members), for providing us with this excellent resource.
