"Bloom Where You Are Planted"

Texas Tales and Trails

The focus of the Texas Tales and Trails is to provide the opportunity to discover both the known and lesser-known aspects and events in the history of Texas.  This group will learn Texas history through experiencing first-hand tours and talks by various docents and experts’ touring museums, buildings, and historical sites; roaming through Texas Towns; and being exposed to books, signs and roadside historical markers. This group is unique in that it seeks to take a deeper dive into Texas history.  The 1916 “The Road Not Taken” poem by Robert Frost, accurately captures the spirit of what Texas Tales and Trails aims to accomplish- and the massive expanse o the road of Texas history that diverges throughout the state, this group, like Robert Frost, seeks to choose “…the one less traveled.”

Note: Open to all NOSA members; Bring a lunch as we find a picnic table after to chat & chew
